God Does the Doing

Mat.16:15-19

..on this rock I will build my Church..

            Who does the doing? Who saved you? Who paid the price for you? Who took away your sins? Who made you a child of God? Who gave you the Spirit of the Almighty to dwell within you? Who added you to the body of Christ?  Who add you to the Church? Why ask such questions?

            You and I have a need for strong resolution of faith. Our faith must rest not on ourselves but on God. His word gives us the rock on which we need to build our spiritual lives. The sure foundation of His word gives us that. The following is a review of what happened to you when you took on Christ as savior. When you died to yourself and was buried with Christ in the watery grave of baptism you were raised up into life. The following is not a complete list but will give reason enough for strong conviction:

1.      We are Given Christ as Savior. (Titus 3:5-6)

2.      We are brought into the one body. (1Cor.12:13)

3.      We are clothed with Christ. (Gal.3:27)

4.      We receive the benefits of Christs Death. (Rom.6:3)

5.      We are born of God. (1Jn.5:1)

6.      We are washed in the blood of Christ. (Rev.1:5-6)

7.      We are saved. (Mark 16:16)

8.      We are forgiven of sin. (Col.1:13-14)

9.      We are made righteous in Gods sight. (Rom.3:23-24)

10.  We are redeemed. (Eph.1:7)

11.  We are delivered from slavery to sin (Rom.6:17-18)

12.  We are set apart or Sanctified. (1Cor.6:11)

13.  We are adopted as children of God. (Eph.1:5)

14.  We are made spiritually  alive. (Eph.2:5)

15.  We are placed in Christ. (Eph.2:6)

16.  We are recipients of Gods Grace. (Eph.2:8-9)

17.  We are reconciled to God. (Col.1:19-20)

18.  We are made on in Christ (Eph.2:14-16)

19.  We are made new creatures. (2Cor.5:17)

20.  We are made heirs of God. (Rom.8:17)

21.  We are indwelt by Deity.

1. Indwelt by the Spirit. (Gal.4:6)
2. Indwelt by God. (1Jn.4:15)
3. Indwelt by Christ. (John 14:23)

22.We are given access to all spiritual blessings. (Eph.1:3)

23.We are made citizens of the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3)

24.We are brought out of condemnation. (Rom.8:1)

25.We are given fellowship with God, Christ and the Spirit.    (1Jn.1:3)

26.We enter continual cleansing. (1Jn.1:7)

27.We are enabled to become partakers of divine nature. (2Pet.1:4)

28.We are given living Hope. (1Pet.1:3)

29.We are brought under Gods protection. (1Pet.1:3-5)

30.We are given legal peace with God. (Rom.5:1)

31.We are given access to Gods daily peace. (Philip.4:7)

32.We are given Christ as our advocate. (1Jn.2:1)

33.We are given eternal life. (1Jn.5:12)

34.We are granted a taste of the heavenly gift. (Heb.6:4-6)

35.Our names are enrolled in Heaven. (Lk.10:20)

36.We become the chosen of God. (Eph.1:4)

37.Our hearts are purified by faith. (Acts 15:9)

38.Our consciences are cleansed from dead works. (Heb.10:22)

39.We are brought nigh to God and Christ. (Eph.2:13)

40.We are spiritually circumcised. (Col.2:11-12)

41.We are sealed with the Holy Spirit. (Eph.1:13)

42.Christ is made known to us. (John 14:21)

    God is truth and in Him is found no falsehood. Therefore what God has said through his Spirit by the means of holy Men is fit and good for you and I to take to heart and commit our faith to. Even stake our lives on! To walk as Jesus walked is to walk in the certainty of the Fathers word. What God has said he will do, he has done, even if it is not yet apparent in time. Are you a child of God? How so? Are you Going to heaven? Based on what? God is not a liar, what He has purposed he will do; he has purposed to save you. Believe! Obey!
