The purposes for which we exist as a body of people.

EPHESIANS 3:10-21

 

#1. To worship our Lord Jesus and serve together in the Spirit of Christ as guided by His word.

 

#2. To labor together in such a way as to bring glory to God by striving to make His Son Jesus, whom we see in Scripture, modeled in our lives as well as in the lives of our neighbor

 

#3. To model our faith and convictions in our lives by serving the various needs in the community as they become apparent and necessary.

 

(all other purposes for existence flow out of service and maintenance to these three primaries)

 

May we each live our lives in demonstration of our love for God, our fellow man and each other as we pursue the accomplishment of these  high purposes. Amen!

·        LABOR

·        MODEL

 

Worship – (John 4:21-24) Those who worship (prostrate themselves before)

 

SERVE -  (Romans 1:9-10) Serve with a whole heart

LABOR – (1Corinthians 3:8-15) ..rewarded according to his own labor

 

 

MODEL – (1John 1:5-7, 2:6) must walk as Jesus did

 

What Jesus has accomplished for us, and because of the Fathers love demonstrated towards us we have good reason to be willing to Worship, Serve, Labor and Model our faith before a watching world.
